The Project Manager is highly-motivated, self-driven team player that has the ability to perform in a fast changing business environment. The Project Manager is responsible for initiating, analyzing, evaluating, communicating, and leading all aspects of the full project cycle. This process begins with proposal preparation and continues through the delivery of the product. This candidate is responsible for leading project teams to delivering innovative, cost effective products on-time to customers. The Project Manager reports to the Program Manager.
Responsibilities: (may include all or a subset of the following)
o Coordinates proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications; estimates product cost and negotiates contract prices, financial terms and program requirements.
o Participates in formulating program plans and objectives.
o Monitors adherence to contract requirements, reporting and justifying of costs by:
o Program Status and Cost Performance Reports
o Supporting the review and update of End Item Shipping Schedules
o Participation and or leading Program Management Reviews (PMR)
o Monitors adherence to program plans including schedule and risk management, resource planning, requirements management, configuration management and cash flow management.
o Prepares and issues operational and program directives as required.
o Develops and maintains a positive relationship with customers.
o Reviews and directs the performance of program functional task elements such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and administrative functions.
o May informally mentor less skilled personnel to increase their effectiveness.
Qualifications and
Experience:
o 1-3 years of experience in Project Management
o 3-5 years of experience in business or technical field
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technical field or Business
o Ability to generate program schedules in MS Project
o Experience managing a project size of $3M-$50M in sales and project staff of 3-25 employees.
o Experience in program administration, cost analysis, schedule analysis including IMP/IMS, development, manufacturing and logistics products.
o Must be able to establish and maintain multiple priorities
o Established ability to learn and contribute quickly
o Results oriented and fact-based decision making
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple constituencies requiring attention
o Good communication and presentation skills
o Ability to work and maintain communication cross-functionally.
